Job Vacancy – Healthwatch Delivery Manager

Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire is the consumer champion for local health and social care services.  It takes the experiences that people have of local care and uses them to help shape local services, leading to the outcome of improved delivery and commissioning of health and social care services across the East Riding.

They are currently recruiting –

 

Healthwatch Delivery Manager

£28,000 per annum

Working closely with the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will work to build Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire. The aims will be to develop an effective structure and systems to ensure that Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire is a Consumer Champion; to gather and record the views of the public and service users concerning delivery, organisation and commissioning of local health and social care services; to provide information and advice to the public; and meets its statutory requirements.

You will be required to design and deliver both small and large scale research and investigative projects, and to identify and coordinate appropriate uses of the statutory powers granted to Healthwatch. You will be the central point of contact for all key stakeholders and the media, and will need to balance requests for collaborative working with existing commitments, and ensuring that Healthwatch retains its independent status. A significant amount of report writing will also be required, both on the performance of Healthwatch itself, and also about local services, for presentation to commissioners and key strategic bodies including the Health and Wellbeing Board.
