Leeds Mind is a progressive mental health organisation that supports people experiencing mental health difficulties to flourish.
South & East Leeds Friends (S.E.L.F) is a Time to Shine funded social support service for people aged 50+ in South and East Leeds who are experiencing mental health difficulties and high levels of social isolation. S.E.L.F can offer one to one support to access social groups, one to one befriending partnerships with a likeminded volunteer and access to a group work programme.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Excellent administration, record keeping and IT skills
Relevant experience of delivering 1.1 support
Non-judgemental and person centred
Experience of performance monitoring and evaluation
Knowledge of safe systems of work and procedures to Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
Experience of recruiting, training and supervising paid staff or volunteers/students
Knowledge of the issues facing elderly people with mental health needs in the community
Hours – Full Time (37 hours per week)
Scale – NJC Scale 6 points 18-22
Salary – £24,313 – £26,317 per annum
Contract –Fixed Term until April 2021
The role is based at Clarence House, Clarence Road, LS18 4LB and required regular travel across Leeds South & East
