Youth Worker Post (Maternity Cover) Grimsby
YMCA Humber are seeking to recruit a Youth Outreach Worker to cover maternity leave in the Youth and Community team. In this role you will be responsible for delivering programmes and activities that support
young people’s personal and social development.
A successful candidate will have a JNC recognised qualification in Youth Work (or equivalent) and experience of working with a diverse range of young people in an informal education setting. You will be a confident communicator, committed to partnership working and aware of the barriers that young people may face. This role involves working with some young people who have particular social, emotional and behavioural needs so your most important quality will be a positive approach, demonstrating a willingness to look for the strengths and opportunities that help people achieve their goal(s).
An Enhanced CRB is required for this post and valid UK driving license is essential.
Full-time, temporary contract, £21,000 p.a. (pro-rata, job share considered)
