Job Vacancy – Careers Adviser Vacancy

Careers Adviser

£20,300 to £25,755 per annum

Full Time Permanent contract, 37hrs per week

Based in Hull

Aspire-igen is committed to helping individuals, organisations and communities succeed through learning and work. An opportunity has arisen for a Careers Adviser to join Aspire-igen on a permanent contract basis, working within their busy and dynamic National Careers Service team in their Hull premises and those of their partners around the county. You’ll help people to make crucial decisions about their learning and work options.
You will be qualified to at least NVQ level 4 in Information, Advice and Guidance (or equivalent) with experience in delivering IAG to a wide variety of audiences in both individual and group settings in a target driven environment. You will be able to organise your own workload effectively, work to tight deadlines, understand common barriers to progression into work or training and have an understanding of current issues relating to the job market.
You will establish and maintain effective relationships with a range of support agencies; keep detailed and accurate records and provide a comprehensive service to customers. The successful candidate will be required to deliver advice and input onto an online system so good communication and ICT skills are essential. Candidates must have access to a car and be willing to travel to all venues as required.
