Job Vacancy: Marketing Assistant at Humber Wood Recycling

Humber Wood Recycling Project Ltd is a financially self-supporting social enterprise set up in December 2013 to save resources and create jobs and volunteering opportunities for local people by collecting, reusing and recycling waste timber. It is an award-winning enterprise in its own right as well as being part of an award-winning network of similar enterprises nationwide.

To support the expansion of the enterprise a part time (21 hours per week) Marketing Assistant is needed to help develop and execute their marketing strategy. The varied and interesting role includes:

.Collating databases of potential customers
.Undertaking web-based research to identify potential customers
.Telephone research of potential customers (including “cold calling” on the phone)
.Sending bulk mailings by post and email
.Recording data and updating customer records
.Dealing with associated paperwork
.Arranging collections
.Answering customer enquiries – phone and email based
.Able to manage our web-based Customer Relationship ‘Highrise’ Management system

The key qualities that will define an applicants’ suitability are:

.High levels of motivation and initiative
.Excellent telephone and written communication skills
.Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office programmes)
.Experience of a sales/marketing environment
.Can-do attitude and bright positive personality
.Good attention to detail
.Can work on own initiative

The role will provide the right person with a great opportunity to develop lots of key skills and help build an exciting venture that will make a real contribution to the local community and to local sustainability. As they are part of an award-wining Social Enterprise network, there is a high level of support available to the suitable candidate.

Deadline for applicants is 29th January.
Start date: February 2016
Remuneration: £7.00 per hour .
