Work Club Co-ordinator (Job Ref WCC)
Full Time (37 hours per week)
Salary £18,000 per annum
Fixed term until September 2017 (May be extended subject to confirmation of funding)
We are seeking a professional, versatile and confident self starter to co-ordinate our Armed Forces Veterans’ Work Club activities. As part of the service, you will offer Advice and Guidance to Veterans’ of the Armed Forces, Reservists, Merchant Navy, their immediate family members and carers within the Hull area. Signposting clients to organisations and specialists in the areas of need and assisting them in securing suitable and sustainable employment. Additionally, this post will draw together the loose strands of military activity to provide a targeted and mutually beneficial interface. Principally based at Londesborough Barracks 4 days a week, it is expected that outreach sessions be delivered from Goodwin’s Community Hub as part of our Royal British Legion Wardens Service.
You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative. You must have proven experience of helping people with barriers to improve their employment and job search skills to secure employment. You should have experience of establishing and maintaining positive working relations with a customer base and knowledge of recruitment and/or working wth the unemployed. A Level 3 IAG qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential.
